    Academic Achievement Celebrated at 2012 `Night of Champions'

    Team of the Year, Student-Athletes of the Year named

    Outdoor 2011: Placed fourth in the 200 meter dash at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships (5/06/11-5/07/11) ... finished sixth in the 200 meter dash at the Cougar Invitational (4/21/11) and the Horizon League Outdoor Championships (5/06/11-5/07/11) ... recorded a seventh-place finish in the 400 meter dash at the Poehlein Invitational (4/02/11).

    Indoor 2011: Placed first in the 200 meter dash at the UWM Panther Tune-Up (2/18/11)... finished sixth in the 60 meter dash at the North Central Invitational (1/21/11)... took ninth in the 55 meter dash at the Dick Pond Open (1/14/11) in the 200 meter dash at the Horizon League Indoor Championships (2/26/11-2/27/11).

    2008-09: Redshirted, retaining three years of elgibility.

    2007-08: Turned in a :23.30 and placed third in the 200-meter dash at the Carthage College Last Chance Meet on March 7...during the outdoor season, finished 13th and recorded a season-best time in the 200-meter dash (:22.81) at the Chicagoland Championships on April 5.

    PREP AND PERSONAL: Four-year letterwinner in both soccer and track & field at Champaign Central (Ill.) ... helped the Maroons win the conference and sectional championship in soccer in 2005 ... won the Big 12 track & field conference championship in 2005 ... received all-area, all-sectional, and all-conference honors in soccer his junior and senior year ... captured the 2007 track & field conference championship in the 200- and 400-meter run ... state qualifier for the track & field championships in 2005 and 2006 ... AAU All-American in the 4x400-meter relay in 2006 ... biggest athletic thrill to date is being back to back 4x1 champions ... born Feb. 5, 1989, in Champaign, Ill. ... son of Steve and Tish Stanner ... has one sibling, Alaine ... currently enrolled as a finance major.
