    Maureeca Lambert, a former Horizon League champion, comes to UIC for her first year as an assistant coach on Jim Knoedel's staff.

    Prior to coming on at UIC, Lambert was a graduate assistant at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill. She worked for the Fighting Saints for one year while working on her Masters of Business Administration, which she plans to obtain in May of 2010.

    During her athletic career at Loyola, Lambert was an all-region, All-Horizon League and academic All-American performer in cross country. She was the 3,000-meter run champion at the 2005 Horizon League Indoor Championships and is the current Loyola recordholder in that event.

    Lambert received her Bachelor's of Business degree in economics with a minor in sport management from Loyola in May of 2007.
