    Nicholas Karavolos enters his first season as a Division I horizonal jumps coach. Nicholas has coached at the high school level for two years and has had four All-Conference athletes in triple jump and one state-qualifying athlete.

    Karavolos competed for the College of DuPage in the Javelin, Long Jump, High Jump and Decathlon between the years 2004-2006. Nicholas helped lead his team to a national championship in 2007 by qualifying in the Javelin, Long Jump, High Jump and Decathlon and taking second, sixth, fifth and second, respectively.

    Karavolos went on to comptete for UIC in the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He helped the team to a second-place conference finish by taking third in the Javelin and fourth in the Long Jump.

    Karavolos completed his schooling in 2010 at UIC as a history major with a minor biology and physics and has plans of getting a Masters of Exercise Physiology from UIC.
