    Cross Country Concludes Competition at Home Opener


    The UIC men's and women's cross country teams opened up the 2014 season Saturday hosting the UIC Home Opener at Lewis University in Romeoville. The women's squad earned first place in the 4K race, while the men finished second in the 6K event.

    Cross Country Hosts UIC Home Opener to Begin 2014 Season


    The UIC men's and women's cross country programs will kick off the 2014 season by hosting the UIC Home Opener on Saturday at Lewis University Cross Country Course in Romeoville, Ill. Competition begins at 10 a.m. CT with the women's 4k race, followed by the men's 6k race, which is set to begin at 10:30 a.m.

    Track and Field to Host Open Tryouts on Sept. 4


    The UIC men's and women's track & field team will host open tryouts at the Physical Education Building on Thursday, September 4th. The tryouts will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. CT. The Physical Education Building is located at 901 West Roosevelt Road and registration will take place in Room 131.

    Richmond Richter and Seyi Ogunleye went head-to-head in triple jump competition at the Horizon League Championships. Richter finished first, with a personal best leap of 14.87 meters and Ogunleye came in second with a mark of 14.43 meters. The foursome of Kyle Hauser, Gunnar Sterne, Angelos Karkalis and Photis Karkalis took home first place honors in the distance medley relay, finishing with a mark of 10:04.01.

    UIC Touts 10 Spring Academic All-Horizon League Honorees


    The Horizon League announced on Wednesday that 10 UIC student-athletes garnered Academic All-League recognition for the 2014 spring semester. Softball led the way with three honorees, while baseball and women's tennis earned two apiece. Men's and women's track and field and men's tennis grabbed one laurel each.

    Top Flames Moment: Ogunleye Wins Triple Jump at HL Championships


    Seyi Ogunleye took home top honors in the triple jump at the Horizon League Championships with a mark of 14.49 meters. Teammates Richmond Richter and Jordan Banks followed with second and third-place finishes, recording marks of 14.06 meters and 13.83 meters, respectively.
