    The 2013-14 academic year featured exceptional accomplishments for UIC student-athletes. Over the summer months (June 2 – August 8), will rewind and look back on the Top 40 Flames’ Moments from 2013-14. Each sport will be featured over ten weeks as we recap the year that was in UIC Athletics.

    Men’s Tennis Wins Senior Day against Youngstown State

    UIC closed out regular season competition with a win over Youngstown State. The Flames defeated the Penguins 4-3 at the Flames Outdoor Tennis Courts. Prior to the matches, UIC recognized seniors Alexander Raa and Alan Reifer.

    - Reifer had the first singles victory for the Flames against Youngstown defeating his opponent 6-1, 7-5.
    - Reifer ended his career at UIC with 33 victories in singles competition and 23 victories in doubles competition.
    - Reifer competed in the number two doubles position in 13 out of 14 matches this season.
    - Junior Maurizio Feoli was also victorious in singles competition against Youngstown, and he ended his season with a 4-5 record in singles competition, with all four victories coming against conference teams.
    - Feoli competed in the number one doubles spot this season beside Carl Hedstrom.
    - Sophomore Christopher Cole was the last singles competition victory for UIC against Youngstown, and he ended the season with a win in four out of UIC’s five victories.
    - Cole had a 5-5 singles record and a 2-3 doubles record during the 2013-14 season.

    June 20 - UIC Upsets Michigan State and Indiana in Hoosier Classic
    June 23 - Women's Soccer Completes Roster for Inaugural Season
    June 24 - UIC to Host 2018 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships
    June 26 - Men's Tennis Extends Win Streak to Three
    June 27 - Women's Swimming and Diving's Strong Showing at HL Championships

    July 1 - Flames Tie Program Record With 11th Straight Win
