INDIANAPOLIS - UIC men's tennis junior Alexander Raa was named to the All-League Second Team at the Horizon League Tennis Awards Banquet Friday evening at the Riverwalk Banquet Center.

The Bergen, Norway, native began the regular season at the No. 3 singles position and quickly transitioned to No. 2 before competing at No. 1 the remainder of the season.  Raa had gone 6-7 at No. 1, 2-3 at No. 2 and 1-1 at No. 3, while posting a 2-4 record against Horizon League opponents.

In doubles, Raa competed alongside Rahul Kamath the majority of the season before teaming up with Isaac Lloveras in the final stretch.  Raa recorded the most wins when teaming up with Kamath, as the duo went 5-7 in the dual season, 4-6 at No. 1 and 1-1 at No. 2.

Raa and the Flames will compete in their final match of the season Saturday, when they face Youngstown State at 1 p.m. (CT) at North Central High School for fifth place at the Horizon League Championship.
