Chicago, Ill. - UIC senior tennis player Nick Bodmer was named the Horizon League Athlete of the Weeek for men's tennis.

Bodmer, a senior from Downers Grove, Illinois, paced the Flames to a win over IPFW and grabbed a win in a loss to Northern Illinois.

Versus NIU at home, Bodmer defeated Ragmond Van Wasbeek, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Against IPFW, Bodmer played No.1 singles again and defeated Ian Leonhardt, 6-2, 6-1 and also won at No.3 doubles, 8-0, with teammate Amol Desai.

Bodmer and the Flames take on Wright State on Friday and UW-Green Bay on Saturday, with both matches being played at UWGB.
