CHICAGO- The UIC men’s tennis team (0-3) heads to Milwaukee, Wis., to face Marquette on Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT) at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium in a non-conference dual match.

“Marquette is a strong Big East team,” stated head coach Hans Neufeld. “We need to come out quickly with consistent energy to be able to compete well.”

Coming off a recent loss, the Flames look to take their first win of the season after falling 6-1 to IPFW on Jan. 25. Senior Alan Reifer came away with the only win of the day, downing Jonathan Raa, 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 2 position.

Heading into Sunday’s competition, Marquette has been able to fight off the Flames in their seven previous contests, with UIC last winning in the 2005-06 season. This season, the Golden Eagles are 2-1, with a 5-2 win over Lipscomb, a 6-1 win over IUPUI, a 7-0 loss to Vanderbilt and a 4-1 loss to Minnesota.
