CHICAGO- The UIC men’s tennis team (0-2) hosts their first home competition this season on Saturday against IPFW. The match begins at 6:30 p.m. and will take place at the Hinsdale Racquet Club.

UIC is returning after a tough 7-0 loss to Western Michigan on Monday, Jan. 20, at the West Hills Athletic Club in Kalamazoo, Mich.

While Alan Reifer, Carl Hedstrom and Eric Pontow took each of their singles matches to three sets, UIC was unable to come away with a win during singles and doubles.

Saturday’s match with IPFW marks the seventh time since the 2004 season that the Flames have faced the Mastodons, and have gone 6-0 in that time. This season, IPFW is 1-0, falling to Ball State last Sunday.
