Men's Tennis To Face Western Michigan

CHICAGO- The UIC men's tennis team (0-1) gets set to head to Kalamazoo, Mich., to take on Western Michigan at 11 a.m. (CT) at West Hills Athletic Club on Monday.

UIC is coming off of its season opener against DePaul on Jan. 17.  The Flames combined through singles and doubles to take two wins, but could not stay on top of the Blue Demons, as they fell 6-1.

Freshmen Carl Hedstrom captured a singles win for UIC at the No. 3 position, defeating Adam Reinhart, 4-6, 7-6, 10-6. Hedstrom them joined forces with Alexander Raa at the No. 1 position to take down Filip Dzanko and Jan-Willem Feilzer, 6-5(5).

The Flames look to take a win over the Broncos on Monday, after WMU has won the previous four matches.  Western Michigan is 1-1 this season, with a 7-0 win over Detroit and a 5-2 loss against Michigan.
