CHICAGO - The UIC men's tennis team gets set to open its 2013 campaign on Saturday with a dual meet against DePaul in Lincoln Park at 3 p.m. (CT).

Returning to competition, the Flames last competed in the fall at the River Forest Invitational and USTA/ITA Midwest Regional, where the team brought in a combined 12 singles wins and six in doubles.

UIC looks to carry over momentum and make a push in the Horizon League.  In the preseason poll, the team was selected to place sixth in the league this season.

This weekend’s match marks the first-of-twelve on the road for the Flames this season, with the squad hosting eight at home between the Hinsdale Racquet Club and the Flames Outdoor Tennis Courts.

The Blue Demons enter Saturday's match after competing in seven different competitions in the fall.  In facing DePaul, the Flames have been unable to down the Blue Demons.
