Cleveland, Ohio- The UIC men's tennis team bounced back from their first Horizon League loss of the season in a big way on Saturday, downing host Cleveland State in a strong 5-2 road victory at the Malaga Tennis Center.

The Flames (6-11, 2-1 Horizon League) took the doubles point and four of six singles matches en route to the league win over the Vikings (9-10, 1-2 Horizon League).

Artsem Burmistrau keyed the team win with a No. 1 singles win and a doubles victory with Yevgen Ryeznik. Ryeznik also turned in a singles win at the No. 4 slot.

UIC Head Coach Hans Neufeld shuffled his lineup with usual No. 2 singles player Karol Zarucki nursing an injury, but the Flames didn't miss a beat. Paul Glendenning stepped up big with a strong No. 3 win over Brett Aronson, 6-4, 6-1, while Ryeznik and Sean Kreymborg helped the Flames cement the overall win with outstanding singles victories.

The Flames return to action on Thursday, April 15th for a non-conference tussle with IPFW at the UIC Outdoor Courts beginning at 3 p.m.
