Chicago, Ill.- The UIC men's tennis team swept all three doubles matches and took five of six singles bouts to pick up a key 6-1 Horizon League victory over Youngstown State at the UIC Outdoor Courts on Saturday morning.

The Flames (9-7, 2-2 Horizon League) extended their winning streak to three matches while evening their league record at two.

Youngstown State dropped to 8-6 overall and 1-2 in league play.

UIC went up early on three dominating doubles victories for an early 1-0 lead. The momentum helped the Flames take four straight-set singles wins and a strong three-set win by Andy Lockhart to solidify the team victory.

The Flames take on IUPUI today at 2 p.m. at the UIC Outdoor Courts in the second match of a doubleheader.
