Men's Tennis Edges Davidson, 4-3|

DAVIDSON, N.C. - The UIC men's tennis team opened up the first of three road matches this week with a 4-3 victory over Davidson on Monday afternoon.
The Flames (7-4,2-0 Horizon) clinched the doubles point with victories at the first and third positions. George Hudson and Sebastian Lystad defeated Walker Lyons and Eric Noble, 8-6 at No. 1 while Scott Sheperdson and Danny Wilson took down Tareq Alani and Carter Braxton, 8-5 in the third slot.
Davidson would answer back, taking the top three singles matches with little trouble over the battling Flames.
Positions four, five and six, all filled with freshmen, would step up to clinch the match in UIC's favor.
George Hudson defeated Calum Gee, 7-6, 6-1 at No. 4, Dave Robare bested David Warren, 6-3, 6-0 and Nate Kirk was victorious in a three-set match, downing Arie Hefter, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 for the 4-3 UIC decision.
With the victory, UIC has now extended their winning streak to six on the season, and have not dropped a match since falling 4-3 at Illinois State on January 31.
The squad will return to the Midwest and head to St. Louis to face the Bilikins on Friday at 4 p.m.
