WICHITA, Kan. - The UIC men's tennis team defeated Washburn 4-3 on Sunday afternoon, as senior Sebastian Lystad broke the score record winning his 57 doubles match.

Lystad and teammate Nate Kirk helped the Flames notch the doubles point with a 8-6 win over Ichabod's Joost Branden and Rens Adam.

The win gives Lystad 57 career doubles wins and puts him at the top of the list, surpassing Eric Frey, who sat at the top since 2008.

Dave Robare and Scott Shepardson were also victorious in their doubles match, winning 8-4.

In singles play, Lystad defeated Ryan Ward in two straight sets, taking sets one and two by the score of 6-3, giving the senior 66 career singles wins.

Nate Kirk added a point for the Flames with a win over Yann Kasay. Kirk defeated Yann 6-2 in set one and 6-4 in set two.

Nicholas Ospina was dominate in his singles match, taking down Adam Rens 6-1 in their first set and finishing the match with a 6-3 win in the second set.

UIC will host Saint Louis at the Hinsdale Racquet Club in Hinsdale, Ill. on Saturday March 20 at 6 p.m.
