Men's Tennis Edged Out By Wayne State
Feb. 26, 2000 Homewood, Ill. - The UIC men's tennis team dropped the morning match of a home doubleheader on Saturday, falling 4-3 to Wayne State. The Tartars took the doubles point to open the match, winning all three contests. UIC rallied back in singles play, though, as Nick Bodmer (6-3, 6-4/No. 1) and Karl Morgan (6-1, 6-3/No. 2) won their singles contests. Freshman Angel Ochoa would also triumph in his singles match (7-6, 6-0/No. 4), but it was not enough, as Wayne State won the singles frays at the No. 3, 5 and 6 slots. The Flames, now 4-8 on the season, will look to rebound later this afternoon when they take on Bradley.
