Indianapolis, Indiana - The men's tennis team found how high the bar was set on Friday.

UIC dropped a 7-0 decision to defending Midwestern Collegiate Conference champion Butler.

"We've improved - but we haven't scratched the surface of being as good as a team like Butler," UIC men's tennis coach Chuck Cunningham said. "We fought hard today and it just wasn't enough."

The Flames (2-4) received their lone victory from sophomore Nick Bodmer and senior Jason Kerr at No. 2 doubles. The duo defeated Butler's Tony Batuello and Peter Voelz 8-3.

UIC will be back in action as they will travel to Macomb, Illinois to take on Western Illinois on Sunday, February 25th at 10 AM.
