Men's Tennis Wins Third Straight
Feb. 13, 2000 Warsaw, Ind. - The UIC men's tennis team won its third consecutive match on Sunday, sweeping IUPU-Ft. Wayne, 9-0.
Karl Morgan continued his winning ways as he won his fourth straight match and improved his singles record to 14-5. Morgan disposed of Ryan Perzanowski in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2. The freshman phenom is now just five wins away from tying Mark Wagner (1982) for the most wins in a season, with 19.
Fellow frosh Angel Ochoa won his third straight match, defeating Khaleel Ali 6-2, 6-0, at the No. 5 singles position.
The Flames, now 3-6 on the season, will look for their fourth straight win on Saturday, Feb. 19, when they host Northern Iowa at 9:00 a.m. and IUPUI at 1:00 p.m. at the Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet and Fitness Center.
