Michigan City, Ind.- The UIC men's tennis team received a strong singles showing at the top of the lineup to grab a 5-2 victory over Valparaiso on Friday night.

UIC (5-3) received singles wins from Ivan Kovalev, Karol Zarucki, Andy Lockhart and Eric Fey. The latter three toughed out down-to-the wire victories that went three sets.

The Flames used the momentum of their doubles point win to help seal the deal.
