Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's tennis team received a large contribution from the bottom of the line-up versus Chicago State, as it knocked off the Cougars, 4-3 on Saturday.

Against Wayne State on Sunday, it was a different story as the Flames couldn't get anything going, losing 7-0.

Versus CSU,Yevgen Ryeznik defeated Amit Wadhwani at No.3 singles, while John Cincola (No.4), Amol Desai (No.5) and Neil Ahluwalia (No.6) each won their respective singles matches to clinch the match for the Flames.

Chicago State picked-up the doubles point, but Ryeznik and James Wonneberg grabbed a win at No.3 doubles over Rajneesh Ali and Dejan Auramovic, 8-1.

Wayne State dominated the Flames, losing only one set.

Ryeznik gave the biggest fight, losing, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, to Mike Davis.

The Flames are off until late March, when they travel south to take on Southern Methodist on the 21st.
