Hinsdale, Ill. - The University of Illinois at Chicago men's tennis team was beaten by Wayne State on Saturday, 5-2, at the Hinsdale Racquet Club.

Nick Bodmer led the Flames, winning in the No. 2 singles position, 6-2, 6-4 over Wayne State's Mike Davis. Bodmer also won in doubles competition, pairing with Ken Howrey at No. 2 doubles, winning 9-8(4) in a tight match.

Bodmer was the only UIC singles winner, but Amol Desai and Wade Clark teamed-up to win the No. 1 doubles match 9-8(6) in exciting fashion, as the Flames took two-of-three doubles matches.
