    Men's Tennis Comes Up Short In Consolation Match

    While competing in the consolation round for a fifth-place finish at the Horizon League Championship, the No. 5 UIC men's tennis team came away with the doubles point and a pair of singles matches before being edged by No. 3 Youngstown State, 4-3, Saturday at North Central High School.

    Men's Tennis Falls To Wright State In First Round

    While just missing the doubles point, the No. 5 UIC men's tennis team came back in singles and had four of its matches in three sets before No. 4 Wright State pulled away with a 4-0 win Friday in the opening round of the Horizon League Championship at North Central High School. With No. 6 Detroit upsetting No. 3 Youngstown State, the Flames will compete for fifth place against the Penguins Saturday at 1 p.m. (CT).

    The UIC men's tennis team (6-14, 2-4 HL) prepares for competition at the Horizon League Championship, set to begin Friday and conclude Sunday. After falling just short from contention last season, the Flames earned a No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 Wright State in the opening round Friday at 9 a.m. (CT) at North Central High School, weather permitting, in Indianapolis, Ind.

    The UIC men's tennis team (5-14, 1-4 HL) prepares for its final match of the regular season Saturday, when it welcomes Valparaiso to the Flames Outdoor Tennis Courts for a 2 p.m. (CT) match, weather permitting. If moved indoors, the Flames will play at the Oak Brook Park District Tennis Center in Oak Brook., Ill., at 4 p.m.
