    CHICAGO – UIC sophomore Kei Ishimaru was named Horizon League Swimmer of the Week for Oct. 29- Nov. 4 the League office announced on Tuesday.  This marks the first-career honor for Ishimaru, and the first award for the Flames this season.

    The Sycamore, Ill. native claimed first place in the 100 butterfly (50.58), 200 fly (1:52.31), and 200 IM (1:54.24) on Nov. 2, aiding in the Flames 157-141 win over Milwaukee. He also teamed up with Conor Ozog, Mike Reed, and Peter Errichiello to take first in the 200 medley relay (1:34.70).

    The Flames return to competition on Friday with back-to-back meets first taking on Wyoming at 5 p.m. (CT), and then Northwestern and Wyoming on Saturday at 1 p.m. (CT). Both meets will be held at the Flames Natatorium.
