CHICAGO - Following a 10-day training trip on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, the UIC men's and women's swimming & diving teams began their trek back to Chicago on Thursday evening, in preparation for a 1 p.m. (CT) meet with Green Bay on Saturday at the Flames Natatorium.

With two days to go in Hawaii, the Flames faced their last double of the trip.  Training was held in the morning at VMAC on Wednesday, before a late-night session at the UHM pool.  UIC's afternoon break allowed the teams to go to Sandy Beach for another day in the sand.

The diving team were allotted a day off on Wednesday, taking the opportunity to go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, hiking at Makapu'u Point Lighthouse Trail and exploring around the island.

On the Flames last day in Hawaii, the teams hit the pool at VMAC for their last training session and followed it up with training on the beach.  Before departing the airport, they were able to shop around downtown Waikiki.

Into Saturday's meet, the men's team has gone 4-3, 1-1 HL, this season, with the women holding a record of 4-2, 1-1 HL.  The Flames last competition was on Dec. 15, when they defeated Western Illinois on the road.

During last year's regular-season meet with Green Bay, the men defeated the Phoenix and captured their fifth-consecutive win over UWGB, while the women ended the meet in a rare tie, 121-121.

Green Bay is 3-3, 2-1 HL, on the men's side, and 4-2, 2-1 HL, for the women, with both squads taking wins over Valparaiso on Dec. 8.  The Phoenix will also be coming off of their training trip in Venice, Fla.
