    Chicago, Ill. - The UIC swimming and diving squad soundly defeated Saint Louis Saturday afternoon, the final home meet for the Flames in 2008.

    Both the men's and women's squad outdistanced themselves from the Billikens, with the men winning 154-88 and the women taking their dual meet in similar fashion, defeating Saint Louis 154-89.

    Victories from Kelly Hashoian and Zach Van Swol in the 1650 free opened up the flood gates for others to follow. Brian Anderson (200 free), Cameron Seebeck (50 free), Evan Dunn (200 IM and 200 fly), Sonia Peterson (1-meter dive), Kayla Redig (200 fly), Sarah Harper (100 free) are among the winners on the afternoon.

    "We're about half-way through the season, and there are still things to work out," said head coach Paul Moniak. "but things looked very solid today."

    The Flames are dormant until December 20, when they face Western Illinois on the road at 2 p.m.
