    Final Stats

    CLEVELAND, Ohio - UIC swimming and diving's Luke Martinez and Sarah Walsh set school records on Saturday against Cleveland State and Youngstown State at the Robert F. Busbey Natatorium.

    Martinez's swam a 1:52.23 in the 200 back surpassing teammate Andy Peterson's time of 1:52.50 set last season at the Horizon League Championships. Martinez finished the day with first place finishs in the 200 back and 200 IM.

    Two events later, Walsh won the 200 breast with a time of 2:23.39, breaking Sarah Harper's record time of 2:24.82 set last year.

    The meet came down to the wire, but the men fell short, losing 129.5-113.5 to the Vikings. The women the Penguins 157-85, but lost a close battle to the Vikings 126-113.

    Winners on the day were Martinez (200 back and 200 IM), Brian Anderson (100 free), Will Ikeda (200 breast), Walsh (200 breast), and Clair Martin (200 back).

    In diving Mike Greeco won the three-meter dive with 273.10 points.

    The Flames return home to prepare for the Horizon League Championships, which they will host Feb 24-28 at the UIC Natatorium.
