    Final Stats

    VALPARAISO, Ind. - The UIC swimming and diving squads traveled to league foe Valparaiso on Saturday, winning the dual meet on both sides with the men taking a 129-79 victory and the women defeating the Crusaders by a similar margin of 132-82.

    Event winners for the afternoon included Shaina Israel (1650 free, 17:52.25), Alex Webster (1650 free, 16:43.37), Kayla Redig (200 free, 1:58.99), Brenden Doughterty (200 free, 1:44.47), Brian Anderson (50 free, 21.44; 100 free, 46.25), Clair Martin (200 IM, 2:13.90), Will Ikeda (200 IM, 1:59.35), Brooke Sawyer (100 fly, 58.44), Hannika Schleebs (100 back, 1:00.88), Kelly Hashoian (500 free, 5:06.20), Andrew Schmitt (500 free, 4:47.90) and Sarah Harper (100 breast, 1:09.69).

    The Flames swept the diving events, with Laurel Heath (1m, 214.20), Kevin Heger (1m, 250.05) taking top honors on the boards in Valparaiso.

    UIC returns to the water this weekend in a pair of meets, with the women's squad hosting Youngstown State on Friday, January 30 at 5 p.m. before both the men's and women's teams head to Macomb, Ill. to face Western Illinois on Saturday the 31st at 2 p.m.
