2009-2010: Started the season with a second place finish in the 200 fly against Wright State (1:53.69)...won the 200 fly at Eastern Illinois (1:53.83)...took first place in the 100 fly against North Dakota (50.84)...first place finish in the 200 fly at home (1:53.41)...placed first in the 100 free against Western Illinois (47.95)...third place finish in the 500 free at Green Bay (4:45.91)...claimed the top spot in the 200 IM (1:55.90) and 100 back (53.35) against Valparaiso...first place finish in the 200 fly (1:47.34) and a second place finish in the 100 fly (48.68) at the Horizon League Championships.

2008-2009: Placed third in the 200 fly (2:00.68) at Wright State...finished in second in the 200 free (1:44.35) against Cleveland State...won first place in 400 medley relay; second-place in 200 medley relay, 100 fly, and the 100 fly; as well as finishing fourth in the 800 free relay; and placing in the top five in the 500 free at the 2009 Horizon League Conference Championship.

2007-2008: Broke the school record and achieved the NCAA "B" cut time in the 200 fly runner-up finish at the Horizon League Championships...took third place in the 500 free at the league championships...a member of the school-record breaking 800 free relay team...fifth-place finisher in the 200 IM at Cleveland State...won the 200 IM against Valparaiso in 1:56.91...placed second in the 200 fly (1:54.81) and took third place in the 200 free (1:45.19) against Green Bay ...won the 200 fly and took second in the 500 free (4:49.07) against Western Illinois in a time of 1:54.98...swam the 100 fly in 51.92 and placed second in the 200 fly B finals at the Miami Invitational with a time of 1:53.14...took first in the 200 free (1:45.43) and the 200 fly (1:56.27) at Saint Louis...won the 200 fly (1:52.75) and took third in the 500 free (4:48.79) against Milwaukee and North Dakota.........took third in the 200 free (1:46.29) and the 100 fly (51.07) at Northwestern...placed second in the 200 fly against Wright State in a time of 1:55.55...opened the season at Eastern Illinois with a 52.04 100 fly, good for second place.

Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner for the Titans...All-American and All-State accolades during his junior and senior seasons via a second place finish in the 100 fly, second in the 200 medley relay and a third place finish in the 400 free relay...Central Suburban League South All-Conference during his last three years in high school...set school records in the 100 fly, 200 medley relay and the 200 and 400 free relays...swam for the Northbrook Spartans Swim Club for four years...placed eight in the 50 fly at Junior Nationals in the spring of 2007...also was an All-State performer in water polo...born March 28, 1989...son of Phil and Terri Schmitt...majoring in secondary math education.
