    2000-2001 Highlights: Selected as Men's Swimming Student/Athlete of the Year...earned a 10th-place finish at the Midwestern Collegiate Conference championships in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 53.06…raced to a season-best time of 1:57.98 in the 200-yard individual medley at the MCC championships…placed fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (1:55.19) at the 2001 Illinois State championships…propelled UIC to a 142-80 triumph over Butler with victories in the 200-year freestyle (1:49.53) and 200-yard backstroke (1:57.82)…coasted to a winning time of 2:00.54 in the 200-yard backstroke and finished third in the 100-yard butterfly (55.35) at the UW-Milwaukee Triangular meet.

    1999-2000 Highlights: Placed fifth at the Midwestern Collegiate Conference 100-yard backstroke finals with a time of 52.34...qualified for the USA Speedo Junior National Championships in Orlando, Fla.

    1998-99 Highlights: Became the first UIC swimmer to qualify for the U.S. Open Championships finals in the 100-yard backstroke (58.32)...finished sixth in both the 100-yard backstroke (52.70) and 200-yard backstroke (1:53.70) at the MCC Championships...set a school-record in the 100-yard backstroke (52.06) in the MCC preliminaries and also recorded career-best in the 200-yard backstroke (1:53.70)...set a personal-best and a 13th place finish in the 200-yard individual medley performance (1:56.74) at the conference meet...tallied two top finishes in the 100 (52.99) and 200-yard backstroke (1:55.45) at the Bill Ritter Invitational.

    Prep/Personal: Captured the Ontario high school championship in the 100-yard backstroke before moving to the United States...garnered All-conference, All-state and All-American honors for Lockport Township High School...was team captain as a senior…captured a fourth-place finish at the 1998 state championships in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard individual medley...led the Porters to a 14th-place team finish at state in 1998...born May 2, 1980...son of Michael and Anne Kimmerly...majoring in criminal justice/applied psychology at UIC.
