AS A JUNIOR (2010-2011): Came in second for the Flames for the season in the 100 breaststroke with 56.96 (2/25) and the 200 breaststroke with 2:01.67 (2/26) ... took second to teammate Dunn at Northwestern in the 100 breaststroke with 57.75 (11/6) ... placed first in the 200 breaststroke with 2:05.95 at the TYR Invite (11/21).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009-2010): Took first place in the 200 breast in the season's opener against Wright State (2:08.73)...won the 200 breast at home (2:05.29)...placed second in the 100 breast at Northwestern (58.14)...won the 200 breast against Western Illinois (2:07.40)...finished in the top three in the 100 breast (56.70) and 200 breast (2:03.60) at the 2010 Horizon League Conference Championship.

AS A FRESHMAN (2008-2009): Placed second in the 200 breast (2:06.72) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:00.32) at Wright State...finished in fourth in the 100 free against Green Bay (49.08)...won first place in 400 medley relay, second-place in 200 medley relay, third place in the 200 breast, fifth place in the 100 breast, and seventh in 200 IM at the 2009 Horizon League Conference Championship.

Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner for Niles North... placed third in the 100-breaststroke at the 2007 state championships, and was a three-year all-state performer...earned Central Suburban East all-conference accolades every season he competed...two-time All-American...runner-up finish in the 100 and 200 breaststroke at the Summer long course YMCA nationals in 2006...set CSL records in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 IM...broke school records in six events, including the 50 free and 200 IM...three-year team MVP...born March 4, 1989...son of Fumie Ikeda...majoring in economics.
