2006-07: Horizon League's fastest swimmer in the 50- and 100-freestyle...took home four titles at the league championships meet, winning the 50-freestyle (20.32) and 100-freestyle (45.00) while swimming on the 200-freestyle relay (1:21.05) and 400-freestyle relay (3:01.33) championships squads...set a school record with a time of 19.97 in a 50-free time trial at the league championships...competed at the US Open meet in the 50- and 100-freestlyle...named to the Academic All-Horizon League Team.
2005-06: Successfully defended his Horizon League 50 free title with a winning time of 20.37 in the finals at the Horizon League Championships...set a new school record with a 19.98 in a time trial at the Horizon League Championships to post an NCAA `B' Standard Time...won all part of Horizon League Championship-winning 200 medley relay that set league and school records with a time of 1:30.77...also part of Horizon League title-winning 400 free relay (2:59.49) that set new league and school records en route to All-Horizon League First Team accolades...helped 200 free relay squad earn second place (1:21.39) and All-Horizon League Second Team honors at the league meet... also anchored school record-setting 400 medley relay (3:22.77) at the league finals...finished second in the 100 free league finals with a time of 45.08...captured first in the 50 free with a 21.15 in the season opener against Eastern Illinois...won the 50 free in 21.15 against Wright State...claimed the 50 free in 21.09 at UW-Milwaukee...won the 50 free in 21.50 against Saint Louis and Western Illinois...claimed a 50 free win against Ball State in 21.18...raced to a 21.13 in the 50 free and a 47.65 in the 100 free to win both events at UW-Green Bay...won the 50 free in 20.90 at the Bill Ritter Invitational...placed first in the 50 free against Iowa with a time of 20.57...won the 50 free in a then-school record 20.40 at Cleveland State...also won the 100 free (46.58) against the Vikings.
2004-05: Horizon League champion and All-Horizon League First Teamer in the 50-yard freestyle...set school record in the 50 free by racing to a 20.53 in the league finals...finished off Horizon League record-setting 200 freestyle relay and school record 400 freestyle relay...record relay also earned NCAA `B' Time Standard consideration...All-League First Team honors as 200 free relay champion and All-League Second Team accolades for 400 free relay and 200 medley relay runner-up showings...U.S. Open and U.S. National qualifier...captured eight 50 freestyle titles and five 100 free wins during the season...won 50 free against Wright State with 21.34...posted 20.86 to win 50 free and used a 47.39 to win 100 free against Butler and Lindenwood...won 100 free (47.34) against Western Illinois...swam a 21.29 in 50 free win against Saint Louis...also won 100 free (47.54) against Billikens...took 50 free versus Valpo with 20.82...won the 50 (21.17) and 100 (47.33) freestyle events against UW-Green Bay...won the 50 and 100 freestyle events and closed out 200 and 400 free relay wins at the Bill Ritter Invitational... turned in a 20.77in a 50 free win against Cleveland State...third-place finisher in 100 freestyle (45.19) at Horizon League Championships...qualified for U.S. Summer National Swimming Championships in the 50-meter freestyle at the 2004 Summer Speedo Champions Series in Minneapolis before the season...placed second in the Speedo Championships with a 23.69, becoming the first UIC swimmer to earn a national qualifying bid since 2002.
2003-04: Set team's second-best times in 50 free (21.10) and 200 free (1:43.85)...raced to eighth at the Horizon League Championships in the 50 free finals...set a then-career best 50 free mark of 21.10 in the league preliminaries...also set team's third-best 100 free time of the season at 45.80...placed fourth in the 100 free at the Horizon League finals...part of then-school record relays in the 200 and 400 freestyle...took first in the 50-yard freestyle at Ball State with a 21.35...won the 50 free against Western Illinois and Saint Louis with a 21.81.
Prep/Personal: Three-year letterwinner on the swimming team at Barrington...part of two undefeated Broncos swim teams during his junior and senior seasons...helped Barrington to three Mid-Suburban League titles, two sectional championships and a fifth-place finish at the state finals, the school's best in ten years...earned All-Mid-Suburban recognition in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay and 400 free relay...captured high school All-American honors in the 50 free, 200 free relay and 400 free relay...set a school record in the 50-yard freestyle and was part of 200 free and 400 free relay records...also lettered two seasons in water polo...swims for Palatine Park District club...currently serves as vice president of UIC's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)...born February 11, 1985...son of Frank and Linda Donovan...major is political science.
