Chicago, Ill.- The seventh-ranked UIC men's soccer team opens the Horizon League slate at home this weekend, beginning with a Friday night contest against Cleveland State.

Two days later UIC welcomes in Detroit (1-5-0) for a Sunday afternoon showdown on the Flames Field pitch at 4 p.m.

The Flames, ranked as high as No. 7 this week by Soccer America and in the Top 10 of three of the four major national polls, own a six-match winning streak against league foes dating back to last season.

The UIC offense ranks sixth nationally with an average of 2.43 goals per game, while the Flames have also returned to their stout defensive ways with two straight shutouts entering this weekend.

Junior midfielder Baggio Husidic and sophomore midfielder Charlie Trout have steered the attack with 12 points apiece, while junior goalkeeper Jovan Bubonja has allowed just one goal in UIC's last five matches.
