BRIDGEVIEW, Ill.- UIC head men's soccer coach Sean Phillips and well over 100 UIC alums, staff, and supporters were at Toyota Park this past Sunday, August 8 for "Back Baggio Night" as former UIC star Baggio Husidic and his Chicago Fire hosted the New York Red Bulls in front of a national television audience on ESPN2.

Husidic started and played every second of the 0-0 contest that also featured Red Bull superstars Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez and Husidic's two new Fire teammates, Freddie Ljungberg and Nery Castillo.

After the match Husidic greeted Phillips and other UIC supporters and signed autographs.

The second-year pro competed for the Flames from 2006-2008 and garnered All-American honors as a junior before signing a Generation adidas contract with Major League Soccer and getting drafted by the Fire in 2009. He currently has three goals and three assists in 16 contests for the Men in Red.

"Back Baggio Night" was a partnership between UIC Athletics and the Chicago Fire that featured reduced-price tickets in the Firehouse section to bring Flames fans out to a Fire match and get fans fired up for the upcoming Flames campaign.
