UIC Soccer Announces Summer 2013 Camp Program

CHICAGO - UIC Soccer and Head Coach Sean Phillipsare excited to announce the UIC Soccer Summer Camp Program for 2013. This is the eighth year of UIC Soccer Camps.
Directing UIC Soccer Camp is Head Soccer Coach Sean Phillipswho brings twenty years of soccer camp experience to UIC Soccer Camp. UIC Soccer Camp has grown over 300 percent during Coach Phillips' involvement.
"We are excited to continue to offer each camper, regardless of age or ability, the opportunity to maximize their potential and passion for the great game of soccer," said Phillips. "Our talented and experienced staff is looking forward to an eighth great summer."
UIC Soccer Day Camp features five one-week sessions that run from June 10 through July 29 with three age-specific options. Multiple week discounts are available for the Full Day option.
The "Little Stars" option is an introductory camp for children ages 4 - 5 that runs from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., and teaches basic skills and fun soccer-related games. The "Half Day" option is available to 5 - 14 year olds from 9:00 a.m.-Noon, and teaches fundamental soccer skills and games that lead to improved performance. Campers ages 6-14 can participate in the "Full Day" offering from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 pm which focuses on additional technical and tactical development through games during the afternoon session.
The UIC Soccer Elite Training Camp is an exclusive training program open to boys ages 12 to 18 (at the time of camp) who are looking to receive an elite training experience. Residential and commuter options are available. UIC's Soccer Elite Training Camp Session I is June 23 - June 26 while Session II is July 7 - July 10.
"Residential" campers will stay in suite-style dormitory rooms and get three meals per day, while the "Commuter" camp option allows players who reside locally and wish to commute to and from camp to get in on the action without staying in the dormitories. This program will provide a professional/collegiate learning environment and is designed for the athlete serious about perfecting their game both during the week and throughout the year with elite training activities and, just as importantly, the attitude toward training learned. Goalkeeper specific training is offered. Space will be limited. These spots will go quickly!
