Chicago, Ill.- The UIC men's soccer team began the 2003 campaign with a perfect 5-0 record. Now the Flames must try to avoid a disastrous five-game losing streak after Saturday's loss to DePaul, 1-0, at Wish Field.

The loss to the Blue Demons (2-6) dropped the Flames to a 5-4 overall record, 0-4 since September 17th.

The contest was a tough defensive battle as both teams went scoreless until four minutes remained in the game. Luke Rojo put an end to the deadlock in the 86th minute by taking Adam Hermsen's pass and beating UIC keeper Ross Cain for the lone goal.

Cain stopped five DePaul shots, while Demons goalkeeper Jeff Klitzke tallied three saves.

The Flames return to action on Wednesday, October 8th to take on the Northern Illinois Huskies at Flames Field. Game time is at 3 p.m.
