Prior to UIC: Played two seasons for Western Kentucky before the school discontinued its men's soccer program in February 2008...started a total of 34 matches for the Hilltoppers, scoring one goal and assisting on two others during his tenure...2007 All-Missouri Valley Conference Honorable Mention...started all 18 matches for the Hilltoppers in 2007...2006 Missouri Valley All-Freshman Team selection...started all 16 matches, scored a goal and had two assists during rookie campaign.

Prep/Personal: Two-time all-state and three-time all-conference and all-section team selection at Sandburg...started on 2002 state championship squad as a freshman...named Eagles' Most Valuable Player as a junior...netted team Defensive Player of the Year honors as a senior...played on the club level for the Chicago Magic under coach John Hannan...won two Super-Y League national titles and five state championships with the Magic...born March 18, 1988...son of Walter and Lettie Kopec.
