    CHICAGO – The UIC men’s and women’s gymnastics teams will get their respective seasons underway on Saturday when they take part in the annual Mixed Pairs exhibition meet at the Physical Education Building.  Competition is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. CT.

    The men’s and women’s squads will be divided into co-ed teams, with the men competing on floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar and the women taking on vault, uneven bars, beam and floor.

    During last year’s event, current gymnast Jason Gaides posted the highest individual score on floor (14.600), vault (14.400) and parallel bars (13.500), while Gabrielle May had the best score for the women’s team on the uneven bars (9.75).
