    CHICAGO – The UIC men’s gymnastics team released its schedule for the 2013-14 season on Wednesday, as the squad prepares for its first competition with the annual Mixed Pairs on Saturday, Dec. 7.

    The Flames get underway with the Mixed Pairs exhibition on Dec. 7 inside the Physical Education Building (PEB).  The competition is the first of four scheduled meets to take place at home, with the squad taking on Illinois on Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. (CT), before hosting the Windy City Invitational on Jan. 18 at 7:00 p.m.

    On Jan. 27, UIC competes in its first road meet of the season, when the Flames take on Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn., at 6 p.m.  The team’s road stretch continues with a meet against SUNY-Brockport and William and Mary in Brockport on Feb. 8 at 6 p.m., before moving on to Philadelphia to take on Temple Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. The Flames finish up their road stint in Las Vegas for the Winter Cup Challenge Feb. 19-20.

    Returning home on Feb. 23, the Flames face Iowa as they compete at the PEB beginning at 1 p.m.  On February 28 and March 2, they face the Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo. at 8 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

    UIC makes a trip to Champaign on March 8 to go head-to-head with Illinois at 5 p.m. before heading to Ann Arbor, Mich. to compete in its final regular season meet on March 22 against Michigan at 6 p.m.

    The Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships begins March 28 in Annapolis, Md., and continues March 29. The NCAA Championships begins April 10 and continues through April 12 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
