    CHICAGO - The UIC men's gymnastics team not only enjoyed success in competition in 2010, but in the classroom as well as seven UIC men's gymnastics team members have been honored as College Gymnastics Association 2010 All-America Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced on Thursday.

    The Flames placed three gymnasts on the First Team and four more on the Second Team. Andrew Crowley, David Mohr and Andrew Stover each garnered First Team accolades.

    Crowley, a native of Spring, Texas achieved a spotless 4.0 GPA in the spring of 2010. Mohr, who is majoring in human nutrition, currently carries a cumulative GPA of 3.69. Stover also earned a 4.0 GPA during the spring of 2010 and had a cumulative GPA of 3.76.

    To be named to the First Team, student-athletes must maintain a GPA between 4.0 - 3.5. Second Team honorees must fall within the range of 3.49 - 3.20.

    Nikolai Korepanov, Mateusz Rybarski, Gabriel Kadar and Nick Persino were each named to the Second Team.

    As a team, UIC ranked seventh nationally with a GPA of 3.099.
