Nine Men's Gymnasts Earn NCAA Berth|

CHICAGO - The UIC men's gymnastics team will send nine members to the NCAA competition, which begins Thurs., April 19 and concludes Sat., April 21 in Norman, Okla., as Oklahoma serves as the host institution to the event.
The three-day event begins Thurs., April 19, and continues through Sat., April 21. The first day of competition has two sessions; a 1:00 p.m. (CT) and 7:00 p.m. (CT). Each session features the six of the 12 qualifying teams, six (of 12) all-arounders and six of 12 event specialists.
Friday serves as the team championship and all-around championship day, featuring the top-six teams and top-six all-arounders that made it from Thursday's results. Also among competitors Friday are the top-six event specialists from Thursday that were not members of a qualifying team or an all-arounder.
Saturday's competitors are the top-10 finishers from Friday.
There are nine student-athletes set to compete in the event. The floor exercise will feature Dan Zerbel and Jason Gaides. Zerbel and Dan Hutton will compete on the parallel bars, while David Ishida and Justin Maxwell will be on the rings. Zerbel's final qualifying event is the high bar, along with Maxwell. Brett Valin, Aaron Eyster and Maxwell will be on the vault. Joseph Hodges will compete as an all-arounder, while Lukasz Adamczyk, will be featured on the pommel horse as the top individual qualifier as he ranks fourth in the nation.
The NCAA will announce which session the UIC members will be featured in Wednesday.
