Andrew Stover Named ECAC Gymnast Of The Week

CHICAGO - Junior Andrew Stover, a standout on the UIC men's gymnastics team was named the ECAC Gymnast of the Week for the period ending March 23, the conference office announced on Thursday. The Fullerton, Calif. native had a successful weekend in his final home competitions of the season, winning the high bar title against Air Force and Nebraska on March 20 with a score of 14.60. On Sunday the 22nd, Stover claimed the all-around crown by virtue of his 84.00 performance, his second-highest output of the season. Stover advanced to the 2008 NCAA all-around finals as a sophomore, placing 11th with a score of 82.95 last season. The Flames will compete in their final regular season meet of the season at Stanford tomorrow, March 28 at 7 p.m.
