    CHICAGO- UIC gymnast Jason Gaides has been named ECAC Gymnast of the Week, while Lukasz Adamczyk earned Specialist of the Week, as it was announced by the conference on Wednesday. Gaides won all-around competition, while also finishing second on floor in the Flames’ 427.850-401.900 loss against Illinois on Saturday.  Adamczyk tied for second on pommel horse at the same meet.

    The Palos Park, Ill. junior, Gaides took first in all-around competition with his score of 83.000. He finished second on floor exercise scoring 14.250, and was UIC’s top performer on parallel bars with a final score of 13.200.

    Deerfield, Ill., native, Adamczyk tied for second on pommel horse with his score of 14.800.

    Gaides, Adamczyk and the Flames return to competition March 22 against Michigan at the Cliff Keen Arena. Competition begins at 6 p.m. (CT).
