Men's Gymnastics Welcomes Stanford For Senior Day

CHICAGO -The UIC men’s gymnastics team is set to play host to fourth-ranked Stanford Sunday inside the UIC Physical Education Building in Chicago, Ill. At 1:00 p.m. (CT).

The Flames are coming off two straight losses to the No. 11 Air Force where UIC produced two first-place finishes in its latest competition against the Air Force. Dan Zerbel (Portage, Mich./Portage Central) won in floor exercises with a score of 15.200 and Brett Valin (Chicago, Ill./Lakes Community) tied with Devin Meneflee of the Falcons for first place with a vault of 14.700.

Despite the two first-place finishes, the Flames fell to the Air Force team in a close 337.300-332.400 decision.

Stanford recently posted season-high scores in its past two competitions in a win against Michigan and a loss against Oklahoma. The Cardinals beat Michigan 351.050-341.700, and lost to Oklahoma with a score of 356.950-351.400.

Competition against the Cardinals begins at 1:00 p.m. (CT) in the UIC Physical Education Building in Chicago, Ill.
