University Park, Pa.- Top 5 all-around finishes from senior Tim Morrison and sophomore Anthony May qualified the two UIC representatives for the NCAA all-around finals at the first qualifier of the 2007 National Collegiate Men's Gymnastics Championships at Penn State's Rec Hall on Thursday.

Morrison placed fourth overall in the all-around qualifier with a total tally of 49.950. May followed right behind in fifth with a 48.550.

The duo will compete in the national all-around finals on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. Central.

Other nice performances by UIC gymnasts included rookie Nikolai Korepanov's 9.3 on rings that earned the freshman 14th overall in the session, while fellow first-year standout Andrew Stover garnered a 12th place ranking on high bar after carding an 8.7

Jeffrey Bill turned in an 8.95 on floor to place 19th. On vault Bobby Solomon placed 21st after earning an 8.45.

Kevin Baune and Joe Ernst also earned Top 35 finishes on high bar and pommel horse, respectively.
