UIC Places Third At The ECAC Championship
April 6, 2012 PHILADELPHIA – The Flames just missed a second-place finish by one-third of a point at the ECAC Championship in Philadelphia, Pa., as UIC posted a 332.3 score. Temple claimed the crown with 349.4 points, followed by Springfield with 332.6 points. Trailing UIC was William & Mary with 330.4 points, Navy finished fifth and Army rounded out the team scores in sixth place with 325.7 points. Joseph Hodges placed third in the all-around with a total of 83.9 points. Hodges began with a 13.7 on the floor, followed by a 15.0 on the pommel horse, a 13.9 on the rings, 13.8 on vault, a 13.3 on parallel bars and a 14.2 on high bars. Several Flames members will compete in the event finals, including Lukasz Adamczyk, who was the top qualifier on the pommel horse with a 15.300 score.
