Men's Gymnastics Comes up Short at No. 7 Michigan|

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Lukasz Adamczyk and Dan Zerbel captured the respective pommel horse and parallel bar individual titles, but the 13th-ranked UIC men's gymnastics team came up short at No. 7 Michigan, 342.800-325.450, Saturday afternoon at Cliff Keen Arena.
Adamczyk scored a meet-best 14.450 on the pommel horse, while Zerbel turned in a score of 14.650 in the parallel bars.
Zerbel was the Flames' top performer in the floor exercise, scoring a 15.000 to finish third. U-M's Stacey Ervin won the event with a score of 15.250.
Joseph Hodges finished second behind Adamczyk in the pommel horse, scoring a 14.050. Meanwhile, Justin Maxwell finished fifth in the rings (13.650), and tallied a sixth-place finish in the vault (14.250). On the horizontal bars, Maxell tied for fourth with a mark of 13.550. Hodges finished third in the all-around with a score of 80.800.
The UIC men's gymnastics team will wrap up its regular season next Saturday (March 24), when the Flames travel to Berkley, Calif., to take on Cal beginning at 9 p.m. CST.
