Williamsburg, Virginia - The College of William and Mary men's gymnastics squad earned a team-score of 204.05 to outdistance UIC (199.50) and James Madison (187.05) in a tri-meet held in W&M Hall on Wednesday.

Senior Anthony Cirullo (Glenwood, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) was the top performer for the Flames (3-16) as he earned victories on the floor exercise (9.200) and the vault (9.050). His floor exercise performance helped UIC to a season-high score of 35.1 on the apparatus.

Senior captain Dave Johnson (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) scored the other victory for UIC with a high-mark of 9.050 on the still rings.

Junior captain Matt Soucie (Newmarket, Ontario/Cardinal Carter) placed third on the pommel horse with a score of 8.300 and followed that up with a fourth-place mark of 8.25 on the horizontal bars. Overall, Soucie placed second in the all-around with a score of 49.25.

Freshman David Livingston (Tallahassee, Fla./Lincoln) tied for sixth overall on the parallel bars with a score of 8.300.

UIC will return to William and Mary next weekend to participate as an official member in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships.
