Chicago, Ill. - The University of Illinois at Chicago men's gymnastics team is down, as injuries have infested the squad.

However, the Flames came out hot, but couldn't hang on as Army defeated the Flames, 208.3-208.05, at the UIC Physical Education Building on Sunday afternoon.

Neil Faustino paced UIC with five top-three tallies, including tying for the win on rings (9.35) with Army's Brian Lee, and winning the vault competition with a nifty 9.5.

Matt Musielak also visited the winner's circle for the Flames taking the high bar competition with a score of 8.8.

Newcomer Nick Stavros added a runner-up finish on pommels with an 8.85, while Jonathan Joyce was second high bar (8.6).

The Flames close out their home schedule on Saturday, March 15, as they welcome Minnesota and Arizona State at 2:00 p.m.
