USAF Academy, Colo.- The UIC men's gymnastics team broke its school team score record for the third time in four meets, placing second in a three-team tilt against Air Force and the University of California with a school-best 213.250 at the Cadet West Gymnasium on Sunday.

Cal took first with a 217.300, followed by the Flames (6-9), who secured their second win over the Falcons with the UIC-best tally. Air Force placed third with a 206.750.

The Flames were led by Neil Faustino, who took his fourth all-around crown in the last five meets with a 53.900. Faustino also won the vault and still rings titles with a 9.650 on vault and a 9.700 on the rings.

Faustino also tied for third on floor, sharing the ranking with teammate Matt Musielak. Both posted a 9.050.

Kenny Gesikowski turned in a third-place finish on pommel horse with a 9.100, while a 9.100 earned Eric Novick third place on vault. Musielak rounded out the third-place showings for the Flames with an 8.850 on parallel bars.

The Flames posted season-high team scores on the pommel horse with a 35.225 and vault with a 36.8.

UIC returns home to host Iowa and ASU this Saturday, March 13th at the UIC Phyical Education Building at 2 p.m.
