No. 12 Men's Gymnastics Defeats No. 14 Air Force

USAF Academy, Colo.- The 12th-ranked UIC men's gymnastics team bounced back from a Friday night loss to No. 14 Air Force by defeating the Falcons, 348.600-346.450, at Cadet West Gym on Sunday. Neal Thompson won the all-around with an 86.500, followed closely by Kyle Voissem's runner-up all-around score of 86.400. Thomspn won parallel bars with a 14.900 and tied for first on pommel with a 14.700. Voissem picked up a floor exercise decision with a winning score of 15.050. Andrew Stover was victorious on high bar with a 15.050, while Nikolai Korepanov had a pair of top-two scores on rings (15.150) and high bar (14.250). David Ishida finished second on parallel bars with a 14.600. UIC heads to Minneapolis to face Big Ten foes Minnesota and Iowa next Saturday at 7 p.m. The meet is scheduled to air on the Big Ten Network.
